As the Italian saying goes, “Fatta la legge, trovato l’inganno,” or “Law made, deception found,” even the most well-intended laws and regulations can be circumvented. This is especially true when it comes to limiting the use of AI to prevent disinformation. While AI could become a powerful tool for identifying and removing false information, it can also be used to create and spread disinformation on a massive scale.
